The IG L1/S 150 2100mm is a standard-duty steel lintel for wider cavity wall openings. Designed for 150–165mm cavities, it supports a 102mm outer leaf and 100mm inner leaf and is suitable for use above doors, windows and similar masonry openings.

For this 2100mm length, IG gives a height of 120mm and a steel thickness of 2.0mm.

The published total UDL figures are 21kN at a 3:1 load ratio and 17kN at 19:1. Use the lintel where the L1/S 150 profile and loading are appropriate for the project.

Final selection should be checked against the structural design, with installation carried out to IG’s recommendations for bearing, DPC and masonry support.
