Beesley & Fildes timber battens are ideal for use as roofing laths, as well as for many other general purposes including fencing and garden structures such as pagodas and gazebos. Roofing battens are treated to various standards including Use Class 2 for interior work and BS 5534 for roofing timber. Available in a range of colours, including treated red wooden battens and blue timber battens, these timbers are easily identifiable on-site to ensure they are used where needed, especially to provide the extra strength required on roofs.

This also makes them easily recognisable to inspectors such as NHBC and LA Building Control. With most items consistently in stock, we will generally provide the closest match from our stock for the lengths you order, up to the correct total meterage.

Treated timber battens give a solid framework to your roof, ready for any of our range of roofing materials to be installed on top. For enhanced energy efficiency and more comfortable interiors throughout the year, remember to also install loft & roof insulation as part of your construction work or refurbishment.
