To install them, the tracks are fixed to the floor and to the above-floor joists or ceiling, creating a channel for the studs to slot into. This allows you to build straight wall lines quickly and keep everything plumb.
The good thing is that, unlike timber, metal studs aren’t susceptible to warping, rotting, or termite damage. If you want to improve insulation, you can install mineral wool between the studs to boost thermal comfort, reduce sound transfer, and improve fire resistance.
