Are you looking for a low-resistance joint filler for brickwork and concrete blockwork? Look no further. At Beesley and Fildes, we stock a range of high-quality joint fillers in various forms, from pliable polyethene foam to fibreboard joint strips. Each one is designed to fill the gaps in between brickwork and concrete, while supporting the natural movement of walls and structures.
Brickwork and concrete naturally expand and contract with changes in temperature and moisture, so expansion joint filler helps prevent a wall, slab, path or screed from cracking as it does.
Their main purpose is to make sure a structure or foundation lasts as long as possible. For brick and blockwork, a low-resistance closed-cell polyethene foam filler is the way to go, since it compresses easily.
Our fillcrete brickfill is ideal for brick and blockwork since it compresses easily, providing a flush finish. Simply build in Brickfill flush with the surface of the brickwork and then pull off the “tear-off” strip, leaving a correctly sized recess to allow the installation of a suitable high-performance silicon sealant, without the need for a bond breaker.
Plus, the scored tear-off strip is a genuine time-saver for large projects. If you’re working with concrete, opt for our expansion joint strip, as these are durable and will stay in place during the pour and cure. Fibreboard is commonly used to form and separate bays in paths, slabs, and similar work.
