The IKO Easyseal AVCL is installed beneath insulation in a warm roof assembly to prevent the infiltration of airborne moisture, thereby protecting it from condensation.
This air and vapour control layer (AVCL) features a high-performance, versatile design that includes a polyester-reinforced aluminium core, which is coated with SBS-modified, self-adhesive bitumen.
The upper surface has a fine granule finish, while a release film covers the underside adhesive coating, ensuring easy bonding to the primed substrate. The adhesive on the underside is activated upon contact with IKOpro Easyseal Bonding Agent, providing a reliable bond.
The IKO Easyseal self-adhesive roofing system is specifically designed to eliminate the need for hot bitumen or open flames during the installation of roofing membranes.
