Marley Tiles FAQs

Are Marley Tiles expensive?

Marley's concrete plain tiles are inexpensive per tile, but when compared on a per square meter basis, they are relatively expensive. The materials cost for Marley's concrete plain tiles is almost double compared to their Marley metric counterparts, such as Marley Ludlow and Marley Double Romans.

Should I Jet Wash My Roof?

The use of high-pressure jet washers is not recommended as they can damage the surface of the slate or tile, thus significantly reducing its expected lifespan.

Why Do Roof Tiles Go White?

Efflorescence can occur on concrete roof tiles made with cement-based roofing products. Different reactions take place at various stages of the production process and during the lifespan of the product. These reactions can lead to the formation of calcium carbonate, which appears on the surface of the tile as a white haze.
