Green Treated Decking

(6 Items)

Wood or timber "decking" can be used in a number of ways, as part of garden landscaping, to extend the living areas of houses, and as an alternative to stone-based features such as patios.

Green-treated decking has been pressure-treated in a vacuum, allowing copper-based preservatives to penetrate deeply into the wood. After it’s been treated, it ends up with a greenish tint, which gradually fades to a more weathered look.

This treatment process reduces the risk of fungal growth, rot, and decay, making it a great choice for long-term projects, such as garden decking. Our green decking is made from sustainably sourced timber and is treated with Tanalithe E preservative, which makes the boards look more beautiful while keeping their natural ruggedness.

It’s this treatment that makes green decking a great choice for UK homes, as it can withstand harsh British weather, resisting moisture damage. Popular for gardens and patios, it’s easy to cut, fit, and install, and it’s a must-have for budget projects.

UC3-treated boards are typically used above ground, while UC4-treated ones are better suited for direct contact with the ground. Keep this in mind when planning the layout and foundations, especially in areas with poor drainage or where decks are built low to the ground.

Though it may not be as polished as more expensive materials, it’s reliable, practical, and well-suited to UK outdoor conditions.
