Introducing Setcrete Universal - the perfect solution for homeowners and DIYers who want to level their floors with ease. No longer do you need to struggle with uneven floors or hire professionals to get the job done. With Setcrete Universal, leveling floors has never been simpler.
Using Setcrete Universal is easy - just add water and mix as directed with a suitable Mixing Paddle and Drill for at least 2 minutes. Then, apply the mixture to your floor, using a suitable trowel or a levelling compound applicator. Setcrete Universal can be applied in a single layer to depths between 3mm and 6mm, making it perfect for repairing and leveling uneven floors.
Once applied, Setcrete Universal dries completely in 24 hours, allowing you to lay floor coverings on top. However, after just 3 hours it is hard enough for you to walk on, which means you won't have to wait long before enjoying your newly leveled floors.
Setcrete Universal works on a wide range of absorbent subfloors, which should be coated with Setcrete Acrylic Primer diluted in a ratio of 1 part primer to 4 parts water. For non-absorbent subfloors, the surface should be primed with undiluted Setcrete Acrylic Primer. Remember, it's important to only mix one bag at a time, and the working time for use is approximately 15-20 minutes at 20°C, depending upon the subfloor absorbency, ambient temperature, and humidity.
Please note that Setcrete Universal is not suitable for bonding solid wood flooring. All other Setcrete floor leveling compounds are suitable for installation of this type of flooring. And, as with any DIY project, it's important to always read the instructions before starting.
