EZ Flashing is ideal for fitting windows with profiled roof coverings such as roof tiles and metal sheeting. It is a universal flashing which can be applied not only to corrugated coverings but also to all roof coverings with a profile depth of up to 45mm.
As standard EZ flashing is applied to individual windows in the slope of the roof. It may also be used as flashing for windows used in combinations or groups:
— for “N” and “V” depths in horizontal, vertical, and block groups,
— for depth “J” in horizontal combination only.
This flashing is available in three different types allowing windows to be installed at three different depths in the roof construction N(+3), V (0) and J (–3cm).
The standard installation of windows with the application of flashing EZ is V – version EZV-A.
Can be used in roofs with pitches:
from 15° to 90° for depths N and V,
from 20° to 90° for depth J.
The flashing EZV-A XDP consists of standard EZV-A flashing and insulation set XDP. XDP consists of air-permeable collar and insulation which is made of specially impregnated sheep wool.
Constituents of the flashing:
The flashing is made up of four basic elements (lower element, two sides elements and top element). The lower element is finished with an elastic apron which has a plastic mat glued to the underside thus allowing the flashing to
adhere to the roof covering for a neat fit. The flashing side-sealing channels
factory equipped with sponge seals provide protection against wind blown
dust, leaves, rain and snow. It also incorporates a weep flap which allows condensation to drain away from the window.
